Bookish Pet Peeves

We all have them; the little things in our lives that annoy us to the point of problem. If you’re lucky you can find ways to get over those pet peeves, but if you’re like me, you probably struggle.

I struggle especially when I’m reading. There are too many amazing books waiting for me to read them that I can justify spending time reading books with terrible clichés and annoying traits.

What made you want to start blogging

I had so many thoughts and feelings about books, tv shows and movies. And friends that were getting sick of me talking about books all the time. So I went looking for a community where I could share my love for reading. I found book blogging one day and knew it was something I wanted to do. It was years later and after many failed attempts  when I finally thought I had a good thing going.

April Book Haul

April has been a great reading month for me. I’m smashing my way through my TBR pile, so I thought it would be a great opportunity to pick up some new titles. Plus with some birthday vouchers to spend, you could say I was more than eager to hit up my local bookshops.

Collective Book Haul

I blame the internet for the sheer number of the book’s I’m about to show you! I browse a lot of different blogs online and most of them are book blogs, let’s be honest. So when I came across a few of these books I knew I had to buy them.

Property of Emily WilsonSecret Letters is a book I read about on Goodreads (link to my account) and saw mixed reviews.  A book set in London centuries ago following a young girl trying to be the next Sherlock Holmes isn’t something I’d normally enjoy. But Lauren (365 Days of Reading) raved about this book and I normally love her recommendations, so I bought this book based on her review. Let’s hope it’s good.
